Tell us a bit about yourself?

I am a senior industrial design student at Appalachian State University. I balance design work with competing on the club snowboard team as well as several other outdoor activities such as mountain biking, canoeing, and hiking

How long have you been mountain biking?

I have been mountain biking since before I got my training wheels off, maybe kindergarten or first grade.

What’s your favorite trail at Rocky Knob?

Individual trail is PBJ (of course) but I really enjoy the decent from Ol’ Hoss to the bottom as well as goofing around in the pump track.

Why do you mountain bike?

I’ve always done it, but mainly the combination of adrenaline and exercise that you don’t really get anywhere else.

Describe your bike setup?

I believe it is a 2010ish Trek Fuel EX6 pretty much how it came from the store. It has Air Rock Shocks in the front, and Fox Float in the back, Shimano shifters and brakes.

What’s a favorite memory of riding?

Riding trails with my family around Lake Norman and Fisher Farm was always good time

What type of riding do you prefer?

Cross country but I’ve dabbled in some downhill stuff out west.

What keeps you coming back to rocky knob?

Location, but they really are some of the best trails I have ridden.

When riding what’s your favorite word or adjective to use?

Sketchy comes up a lot.
